Meet Staci Kay

As a dedicated healthcare professional, I’ve traversed through various educational institutions, honing my skills to better serve you. Beginning with my BSN from UNCG and advancing to an MSN from East Carolina University, I furthered my knowledge with a postgraduate degree from the University of South Carolina.

Experience and Expertise

My journey as a registered nurse has been diverse, spanning intensive care units, emergency departments, case management, telehealth triage, and home infusion. Transitioning to a Nurse Practitioner, I’ve specialized in critical care settings such as Neuro ICU, Med/Oncology ICU, MICU, and outpatient Covid-19 care.

Driven by a desire to enhance patient outcomes, my focus revolves around three key objectives:

  1. Prevent Hospitalization: My aim is to keep you healthy and out of hospital beds.
  2. Facilitate Recovery: I’m committed to aiding your recuperation from acute illnesses.
  3. Restore Wellness: Let’s work together to swiftly return you to your baseline health.

The Inspiration Behind Sophelina Health

My passion for patient care blossomed during my tenure in the ICU. Witnessing the struggles of critically ill individuals and their families, I became determined to offer a more holistic approach. I envisioned a setting outside the confines of hospitals, where personalized care could thrive.

At Sophelina Health, we prioritize transparency and empowerment. We believe that informed decisions are the cornerstone of effective healthcare. By providing access to comprehensive information and options, we empower you to take control of your health journey. Let’s collaborate to achieve your health goals and pave the way for a fulfilling life, free from unnecessary hospitalizations and surgeries. Together, we’ll navigate the path towards a healthier, happier you.

Dave Kay

Meet Dave Kay

Driven by a passion for genuine patient-doctor relationships, I embarked on a new journey with Sophelina Health. I started a direct primary care and cardiology practice to do what I love: take care of people. By eliminating bureaucratic hurdles and insurance hassles, I focus on what truly matters: being accessible to my patients and delivering compassionate care.

Experience and Expertise

To help people the best I can, I’ve forged through a robust educational journey and extensive clinical experience. Graduating with a B.A. and M.A. from Duke University, I earned my MD from Jefferson Medical College before undertaking rigorous training in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Medicine at esteemed institutions such as Medical College of Virginia and Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. Board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Medicine, I feel that my credentials underscore my dedication to providing high-quality care to any and all patients.

Professional journey

  • Mid Carolina Cardiology/Novant Heart and Vascular Institute (2008 – 2018): Dr. Kay dedicated a decade to providing exceptional cardiovascular care.
  • Wake Forest Baptist/Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist (2018 – 2023): Continued his pursuit of excellence in patient care.

Being that I am a staunch advocate for breaking down barriers in healthcare, I began to notice shortcomings in our modern day healthcare system. The current system fails to deliver quality care due to constraints imposed by insurance companies and healthcare corporations. Patients deserve better. They deserve timely access, personalized attention, and responsive care from their doctors. Through Sophelina Health, I pledge to redefine healthcare delivery. You deserve your doctor’s undivided time and attention. Reach out to me today for personalized care that prioritizes your well-being.
